Long time! Camping at a 300 year old fortress.

We have no news.  Sorry all.  We feel that we will not be seriously considered until we are back in the US.  James just finished another semester of vet school so we are one step closer to that dream.  We are hoping that as soon as we return workers will start looking at us very seriously.  We will let you know when we do have news.

On another note we are enjoying the island as our time here is nearing an end.  I spent the first year here on the island thinking that it would never end and the last year I have spent thinking that it is going too fast.  We love the island itself and we are loving experiencing it more.  The kids and I spent a night camping at Brimstone Hill Fortress (a once in a lifetime experience) this last weekend while James was studying for finals.  Oh my goodness did we have a fantastic time.  We slept in one of the old armory buildings and had a private night tour of the entire place.  The boys had such a fantastic time and they were so well behaved.  They were amazing.

The amazing view from where we were camping.
Operation Frisbee rescue.  Both of the Frisbees jumped over the wall and into a tree/ one the ground about 15 feet down.

So I found out about this campout on Thursday night and asked the Noels if they wanted to go on Friday (for a Saturday night campout).  They are amazing people who are ready to jump into all types of fun stuff and I am so grateful that they were able to go.  The kids LOVED playing with each other and they all had a great time camping.  It was a beautiful night.  The kids and I started in the building while the Noels started in a tent outside.  The only scary part of the night was when I woke at 2:30 am and saw a person standing on the other side of the building holding a child.  Since my kids were the only ones in the building I had a brief heart attack thinking someone was taking Gabe. So I grabbed for them and they were both in bed with me.  It took me a few seconds to realize it was Nicki with Hazel! Whew.  They decided to move inside because it was so noisy in the tent.  They slept great and we had a great time.  I am so glad that we got to share this amazing experience with some great friends.
